Clean Start

You must use CleanStart before you start with SilkBalance. Gives your hot tub plumbing a “deep clean”.

CleanStart attacks the root cause of most hot tub water care problems: the build up of organic waste. Organic contaminants like oils, lotions, cosmetics, hair products and sweat concentrate in hot tub water to produce scum lines, cloudy water, clogged hot tub filters, bad odors and foaming. These contaminants collect and build up in your hot tub circulation system and filters. By purging the hot tub of this organic build up, the effects of contamination will be reduced or eliminated.

Restores hot tub plumbing and jets to like-new condition. Use to “detoxify” and remove build up from normal use. Most “icky stuff” hides where you can’t see it. Use this once every couple of years for new or used tubs, tubs bought second hand, etc.

Making the switch to SilkBalance for a hot tub for the first time?

If you are converting an older or previously used hot tub to SilkBalance, you must prepare the it before using it. The hot tub plumbing lines must be PURGED with CleanStart before draining and changing the water in order to get the optimum results. Simply pour in a bottle of a SpaClean and leave overnight.

Then drain the hot tub. Refill with fresh water and add SilkBalance according to the directions.
